What Should I Consider Before Buying an EV?
Driving an EV isn't very different from driving any other vehicle, but there ARE differences.
EVs differ from vehicles with an internal combustion engine (ICE) in "what's under the hood." From the electric motor to the drivetrain and the battery, the differences couldn't be greater.
That said, the driving experience is not very different, and that's part of what makes the transition so easy. After all, an EV is still a car. The difference is in how the two different engines generate power.
A few things to note:
- Because of the price of gas, you'll spend a lot less on fuel.
- The cost of maintenance is typically less on EVs.
- EVs are quieter than gas cars.
- They don't pollute like internal combustion engines.
- They have more torque and faster acceleration than most normal cars.
- For these reasons, there may be a short transition when you start driving an EV.
- Although we do not yet have electric cars in stock, they'll be coming soon.
