happened upon this by mistake and glad I did

      by jaybird55 on Tuesday, October 01, 2019

I drive 135 miles a day round trip 4 days a week to work. This little car has been treating me from 47-51 mpg every time I fill it. I drive all highway and if I by chance get stuck in traffic the mpg goes up. I have always had a Toyota or Honda as a daily commute car and I was ready to get something a bit nicer. My last 2002 Toyota solara convertible was ageing and the v-6 was thirsty for my commute. I started looking at newer prius and found them so ugly. I happened to stumble across the Lexus version and so glad I did. I love everything about it. Style, comfort, ride, interior. I read some professional reviews and was a bit skeptical, however the readers reviews really made up my mind. Yes its has a slow pick up (its a hybrid and pretty much a known issue) ride a bit bumpy, yes it rides on 17" low profile tires, but for me it is a cream puff to my old corolla and solara. If I want to go fast and waste gas I'll get in my vette or truck but for everyday I love this thing.

      Love, love, love my car

by Madi on Tuesday, March 31, 2020

I've had this car since 2014 (bought it used w/15k miles) and have since run the mileage up to over 100k. A large chunk of those miles were in the past year, where I drove 600-800 mi per week. No major complaints! In six years of ownership the only real problem I have had is the door lock actuator on the driver's side door has given out. That happened in the last 2 months, and is really just a minor inconvenience for the time being. I just bought the part online for $75, so it will end up being a cheaper fix. I love this car, I would absolutely buy another one. Great gas mileage, I love the hatchback (very useful for transporting my 50 lb dog), I have found it to be reliable as far as the essential functions are concerned, and I think it is pretty stylish. I rated it as 4/5 for comfort only because the back seat is small, the front 2 seats are very comfortable. I would say the last thing that is a drawback for this car is somewhat limited rear visibility because of the design of the back corners, which requires extra vigilance and consideration. The backup camera is useful in that regard.
